Vejigante Mask-Making Experience in Loíza, Puerto Rico invites you to learn, create, and connect with Loíza’s living culture as you craft your own mask from coconut husk with artisan Wilcelino “Celele” Pizarro and youth guides from Centro de Esperanza.

What You’ll Experience

• Welcome and cultural intro led by local guides

• Hands-on carving, assembly, and painting with the artisan

• Traditional Loíza lunch and heritage storytelling

• Your completed mask to take home

Additional Information

• Reservation required; minimum 10 participants or the workshop is rescheduled

• Arrive 15 minutes early

• Minimum age 12; under 16 must be with an adult

• Not wheelchair-adapted; accessibility adjustments available by request in advance

• Service animals welcome

• No smoking, alcohol, weapons, or offensive language

• Dress code enforced (no swimwear, see-through, ripped shorts, revealing tops, etc.)

• Centro Esperanza reserves the right of admission

Cancellation Policy

All reservations are final sales. Rescheduling is allowed up to two weeks before the event. No refunds for no-shows or late changes. If dangerous weather or force majeure prevents the event, a new date will be offered. Group bookings (20+) email: Travel@AmourGetaways.com
