From January 15–18, 2026, Old San Juan will come alive with colorful “cabezudos” (giant papier-mâché heads), live music, artisan markets, and street food that captures Puerto Rico’s creative spirit.

Let me not forget, the trip to the Aguas Termales in Coamo to experience the healing power of the natural hot springs. All of the beaches were beyond amazing—relaxing, picturesque, and the perfect contrast to the city’s energy. Karina also curated unforgettable culinary experiences, from savoring authentic local dishes to snatching up street food. The culture and rhythms of the island were shared with me through Tamboricua performances that made me want to dance.
