Spend the day exploring the monuments and memorials of the National Mall including the Washington Monument, World War II Memorial, Lincoln Memorial, Vietnam Veterans Memorial, and Korean War Memorial.

The afternoon includes visits to several Smithsonian museums, including the National Museum of African American History and Culture and the National Museum of American History.

Evening options include dining at The Wharf waterfront district.

Museums & Historic Washington

Continue exploring Washington’s cultural and historic sites with visits to the United States Botanic Garden, the National Air and Space Museum, and the National Museum of Natural History.

Later in the day, walk along the scenic Tidal Basin to see the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial, Franklin D. Roosevelt Memorial, and the Jefferson Memorial. A stop near the White House and an optional evening in Georgetown complete the day.
